Presented by Big Apple Herpetological, Inc. and produced by DJS Events, this one-of-a-kind event took place on Friday, October 27 at one of the Gold Coast’s most magnificent estates - the newly renovated Castle at Sands Point Preserve. Recently restored to its 1904 grandeur, the Castle provided the perfect backdrop for an enchanted Halloween evening.
Guests enjoyed an elegant array of gourmet foods prepared by the Garage Eatery, drank ZYR Vodka’s 5 star rated vodka, sipped Brooklyn Brewery’s vast array of beers and sampled the award winning wines of Solomon Islands Vineyards, a recent winner of the prestigious Governors Cup Competition. Apple Entertainment provided music and lighting and Slim Cook Art Studios creations complimented the Castle’s gothic atmosphere and ensured guests the Halloween experience of a lifetime.
Partygoers enjoyed dancing on the exquisite sunken marble dance floor, experienced professional Tarot Card readings, got up close to a real live red tailed hawk and won some of the event’s top-notch raffle prizes which included a $1200 20 person cocktail hour at Sagamore Steakhouse, a $10,000 weekday membership to Olde Vine Golf Club, a $2800 custom 24 inch cube aquarium with an oak stand, oak canopy and custom filtration by Big Apple Herpetological, and a website/corporate identity package by Sandwire and Hitstate worth over $5,000 and much more!
“The goal of the charity ball was simple,” says Steven Spitz, “to bring the Long Island community together for an evening of entertainment, networking, and compassion.”
